From a passion for spaces to a philosophy of living.
Our journey began in 2002 with Milind Vernekar, an interior designer whose curiosity about architecture, construction and the way people experience spaces became a lifelong passion.
After completing his education at Deccan Institute of Technology, Kolhapur, Milind began working in the wider world of interior design, landscaping, architecture and construction. His early experience working with architect Pramod Beri gave him a strong foundation in design thinking, proportion, materials and execution.
In 2003, Mahalasa Interiors was established with a simple idea: create interiors that are beautiful without being complicated, functional without compromising character, and thoughtfully designed around the people who live in them.
In 2006, Archana Vernekar joined the journey after completing her interior design education at ACME Institute of Interior Designing. Her perspective added another important dimension to the studio — a deeper understanding of how aesthetics can work hand-in-hand with everyday living.
More than two decades later, that original belief remains at the heart of Mahalasa Interiors.
